Many of you have heard me tell the story of what Creative Real Estate Investing was like when I started, 15 years ago.\u00a0 It was very much an underground, unheard of business practice.\u00a0 So much so that it invited a lot of scams and unethical practices.<\/p>\n
It should be no surprise, then, that Wikepedia, still today, defines Creative Real Estate Investing in the following way:<\/p>\n
\u201cCreative real estate investing is any non-traditional method of buying and selling real estate.\u00a0 Confidence tricks and pyramid schemes \u2026 have embraced the term, leading contemporary usage of the term to be synonymous with unscrupulous practices.\u201d<\/p>\n
To find out this is how the general public really thinks, we did our own survey.\u00a0 When asked what you think of when you hear the word \u201ccreative real estate investor\u201d or see an \u201cI Buy Houses\u201d advertisement\u2026 the top answers that emerged were \u201cFraud\u201d, \u201cScam\u201d, \u201cGreedy\u201d, \u201cUnprofessional\u201d and \u201cUncaring\u201d.<\/p>\n
I have one question for all of you reading this blog\u2026 Is that how YOU want to be thought of?<\/p>\n
So how do we change the public image of Creative Real Estate Investors?<\/p>\n
That is our goal!\u00a0 And we do that by bringing Creative Real Estate Investing into the mainstream; so that we can show the world that we help homeowners instead of scamming them!<\/p>\n
